a cancer scare in a dentist chair
Recently I've felt like for the first time in my life I'm actually in control of my own fate. Usually I live life lazily; letting things just happen and complaining about the things I dislike, which usually ends up causing me to dislike things more than ever, feeling trapped, feeling unhappy. As you do, I guess. In any case, since uni has ended for the year, I've been working my butt off delivering resumes in the hopes I can escape the clutches of Slaveway and work in a far more delightful area of work. I got a job interview for JB but I have little hope for that on account it's been almost two weeks since she said she'd call DURING the original week to let me know what she'd decided. But basically.. EB Games, book stores and video shops are up there with my list of Top Jobs. That is.. top jobs for somebody like me without a degree or any worthwhile qualifications. I can pack bags so good I'm a master at tetris! Pick me as your new veterinarian. I finally got the balls to contact this kid from the past who I think is fairly ace. Well, I needed the perfect reason and I found it. So i was very very proud of my brain for the first time in almost a year since the 40 I got in English. Hurray. Anyway I think pretty much all my motivation to do anything about my life and take responsibility for its direction comes from this one random dude who's email I got off 4chan earlier this year. Strange, non? But I feel like he's the one person in my life right now who pushes me to actually try to achieve stuff. I've never had anybody who's not my mother do that before. There's always constructive criticism and sympathy, but this guys advice is all action and gogogo. I feel like he has faith in me. It's the best. Finally if my irritable, emotional mood is not due to PMS, I will probably throw knives through a baby's head. Because it is the wooorst feeling this way and not being able to understand why. Well actually, technically I do know why, but I can never actually figure out if it's actually the reason why because I don't keep track of monthly arrivals very good. THANKS FOR SHARING, STEPH. 0 fat astronauts |
