Today is a sparkly Saturday on account I have awoken relatively, or actually, utterly content with things excusing the one slight fail factor. When I woke up, I found that my nose stud had fallen out so I had to rush out of bed to jam it back in its home. Now I must suffer, because the inside of my nostril is all puffy and the nerves near to the stud keep twitching. Yestereve, I went all the way to St Kilda for Tash's birthday drinks. It was an epic adventure. Kind of. Well no, it was. Especially considering it took Yen and I over an hour to reach our destination. I haven't seen Yen properly since almost August last year and I forgot how much I love her. We walked all the way home together in the drizzly rain reminiscing about Borneo, year 12 and other such lovely experiences. Even though we barely get to talk these days, she is definitely still up there with best friends I have / will ever have. I felt a bit bad for the turnout at Tash's shindig, but I don't think it was too terrible for her. I hope it wasn't. What was super terrible was the fact that Cam showed up. I'm generally an awkward person, but oh my gosh I have never been in a situation that awkward. To make matters worse, Patryk continues to not want to talk to me. So after calling me for directions (I guess directions isn't considered a violation of the silent treatment code), he showed up and didn't even acknowledge me. Maturity at it's best. Not that I can really talk I suppose, on account I refused to even look at Cam. Anyway, it was a pretty decent evening all up. I got to see all my babelicious babe friends together again. I love those kind of events. Unrelatedly, sometimes I am lead to believe that tiredness and alcohol have the same effect on my mental abilities. I get drunk. I babble. I get tired. I babble. I babble drunk/tired. I don't feel self-conscious. Win/win situation. 0 fat astronauts |
